I’m Ty, a designer exploring the space where systems thinking meets playful storytelling. My work blends sustainability, citizen science, and creative tools that invite people into the conversation. Think of this site as my evolving sketchbook: layered, imperfect, and alive with experimentation.
My design process is more like a conversation with people, materials and ideas than a checklist. It is shaped by curiosity, care and collaboration.
Understanding people’s needs and context.
Exploring ideas through tactile and digital forms.
Testing concepts with real users and feedback loops.
Refining based on insights, intuition, and impact.
Delivering thoughtful, regenerative design outcomes.
Understanding people’s needs and context.
Every project starts with listening, sketching, and a bit of mess. These words stick with me through it all. They help me stay focused, curious, and connected.
My illustrations and paintings are quiet conversations I have with myself, moments of play, colour and reflection that complement my design work. I also create tactile objects, exploring materials with my hands as well as my mind. Together, these works represent the more personal and experimental aspect of my creativity.
Prompt: Sketch a moment of stillness.
